Herbalist & Naturopath
How can herbs help you?
Herbalism is the oldest and most widely used system of healing in the world. Our bodies are well adapted to nature’s medicines. Unlike the allopathic approach to treating illness, herbalists do not merely address symptoms, but use botanical medicines to invigorate the person’s vital force so that the body can heal itself from within.
Herbal medicine can be used to treat a wide range of health complaints including;
- Skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis
- Emotional wellbeing including anxiety, depression and panic attacks
- Hormonal issues such as PCOS, peri-menopausal symptoms and acne
- Digestive complaints such as IBS, acid reflux and candida
Importantly, herbal medicine works really well for long standing health concerns that have not responded well to conventional treatment or do not have a well-defined cause such as;
- Lack of energy and motivation
- Poor sleep
- Low mood and unexplained anxiety
- Allergies

What can I expect from my appointment?
Most people understand that their health issue hasn’t manifested overnight, but is more likely a result of lifestyle and constitutional factors. Working together, we’ll identify the root cause of the problem and create an individual health plan to help put your body in the best possible position to heal itself.
During our time together we’ll delve deep into your health issues looking at many aspects of your lifestyle and constitutional disposition. Based on this information, I’ll prepare a customised herbal prescription which may take the form of a tincture, tea, capsule, cream, salve or powder. As every person is unique, no two prescriptions are ever the same. Your prescription will adapt and change to reflect the healing process, supporting you at each and every stage.

Naturopathy
Herbal medicine works best when underpinned by lifestyle changes that provide the optimal situation for the vital force to mount a response. In addition to your herbal prescription, you may also be asked to make some changes to your diet or follow a short cleansing programme to give your herbs the best possible chance to work their magic.

Iridology
Iridology is the scientific study of iris markings that provide valuable insights into your inherited health. This evidence-based system can tell you all kinds of interesting things about your genetic make-up, your constitution and even your personality traits. It is an invaluable tool for understanding the potential root cause of your health and wellbeing issues.
An Iridology assessment lasts 45 minutes to an hour. During this time, I’ll take I’ll use an iriscope to take a detailed photograph of your eyes. The most up to date iridology maps and charts are then used to assess colour, fibre formation and any other signs and markings that make up your unique health picture. Taking a photo is a super quick, simple procedure, and is completely non-invasive.
