I am a registered and accredited psychodynamic psychotherapist with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), professional standards authority accredited register and a member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF). I am trained to see clients up to twice weekly.

I have over 25 years experience in adult and child and adolescent mental health services within the NHS. I have worked with a wide range of mental health difficulties including eating disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation/behaviour, emotional instability, severe depression/anxiety, trauma/abuse, gender issues, personality difficulties, obsessions, dissociation, autism, psychosis, inter-personal difficulties and spiritual distress.

My psychodynamic psychotherapy training has enhanced my knowledge, clinical experience and capacity for resilience supporting clients with severe and enduring intra-psychic distress. In my psychotherapy practice I work to support my clients in a dynamic process of becoming more in touch with themselves, developing their sense of authenticity and uniqueness; aiming for a better understanding of their behaviours and what motivates them. This process involves the psychotherapist and client in a transformative journey of exploration and discovery to gain insight into troublesome thoughts, feelings, behaviours and repetitive compulsions to enable desired change to take place at a personal level and in relationship with others at home and in working life.
