Alison Trewhela has for many years been an associate of the Walsingham Clinic. She is a Yoga teacher who specialises in Yoga for Low Back Pain.

Helen trained as a classical Hatha (pronounced Ha-ta) Yoga teacher in Sydney and Melbourne with Yoga In Daily Life for 2 years.  The emphasis on meditation and the therapeutic benefits of yoga profoundly changed her outlook and life choices and so after qualifying in 2008 began teaching immediately in classes and also one on one.

Helen lived in Australia for 10 years training also as a primary school teacher (PGCE), Art Therapist (Phoenix Institute), children’s yoga teacher (Radiant Child Yoga 1 & 2 in 2009 & Zenergy Children’s Yoga Foundation/Advanced)  and Yoga Therapist  (2011). She completed a Raw Food Coaching Course in Bali (Pure Raw 2012).

She has a passion for nutrition and the outdoors and ran ‘Sustainability camps’ for children, focusing on special needs, which included outdoor sports, yoga, creative crafts, natural arts and cooking.

On returning to England in 2012 she completed: Level 4, Integration Course Diploma with The British Wheel Of Yoga (2014) and Yoga For Transformation (Ansara based teachings, Lisa Sanfilippo 2014). Also training as a Kundalini Yoga teacher (Sahej yoga London 2015).

In 2015 she qualified with “Yogabugs” and taught in various primary and secondary schools across London.

In 2016 she is teaching in Cornwall in nurseries, primary and secondary schools to both students and teachers. She is also practicing as a yoga therapist in Liskeard (at the wellbeing centre).

Her yoga therapy sessions are focused on children and adults who wish to learn more about how they can make a difference to their own health. She specialises in ADHD, autism, IBS, insomnia, sciatica, depression and ME.

Her aim is to provide informal and relaxed, informative sessions, that inspire children and adults to take control of their own well-being. Our health is in our hands!
