Medical Herbalism – Holistic Medicine
Personal Statement:
“By observing the phenomena of life and nature, listening carefully to my patients and studying and researching for many years, I have come to understand that our whole body is a real living Unity that is physically and energetically linked to the surrounding environment either affecting or being affected by it. This is why the medicine I practice is called ‘Holistic’ which means ‘Whole’, because it is based on the concept that mankind and the universe are one (Body, Mind, Spirit). Conscientious medical practice needs to bring this lost unity back into balance again, respecting all the laws of nature.
Many of our everyday health problems are caused by the imbalance achieved in our body through inappropriate eating, mental stress from our lifestyle and the polluting effect of many substances/elements found in the environment, whether at home, at work or in the open air. This imbalance will depress the body’s immune system making us more vulnerable to infections from virus, bacteria, fungus. The toxicity which builds up will cause our bodies to attempt to cleanse themselves, producing painful symptoms we call ‘dis-ease’.”
Symptoms that can be treated include:
Headache, migraine, dizziness
Gastrointestinal disorders (constipation, colitis, nausea, gastritis, haemorrhoids)
Liver Complaints
Allergic Reactions (asthma, urticaria)
Skin problems (eczema, psoriasis, chilblains, alopecia, verruca. herpes, fungus)
Hormonal or metabolic disorders (diabetes, menstrual problems, breasts or ovary cysts, thyroid disorders, obesity)
Relapsing infections (candida, recurrent colds, cystitis)
Circulatory and venous disorders
